Retractable louvres from Advanced Design Innovations provide versatile shading over a pool area. By blocking a significant proportion of sun glare and heat on very hot days, retractable louvres make the swimming area more comfortable and reduce exposure to UV radiation.
On milder days, the louvres can be fully retracted, giving a feeling of openness and an uninterrupted sky view.

Without retractable louvres, pool owners would have a choice of either leaving their pool area uncovered, or using a non-retractable solution like fixed louvres. Leaving the area uncovered makes it less usable in very hot weather, especially as an entertaining area. On the other hand, compromise solutions like fixed louvres don't allow uninterrupted sky views or the open feeling of a true outdoor pool.
Only retractable louvres combine the comfort of variable shading with the ability to disappear completely when not required.
In these illustrations, the louvres are set approximately 70mm apart so they let some light in even when closed. This configuration is available in any situation where a fully sealed roof isn't required. (Note: this is a permanent configuration.)
