Spiral Stairs
The Brief
Advanced Design Innovations has been engaged to design and manufacture a spiral stairway
For a home currently under construction in Melbourne’s inner south. The stairway balustrade is intended to appear like a continuous ribbon.
The Challenge
The project presents several design challenges, most significantly the fabrication of a spiral balustrade
Constructed from a continuous length of 10mm plate. The gentle twisting action of this ribbon-like balustrade requires four different radii to be blended seamlessly into each other.
The Result
Our technical expertise has enabled us to meet the challenge of detailing the organic shapes and facilitating the fabrication of this intricate design.
We will use high-quality fabricators to achieve the desired finish, resulting in a stunning, expertly-crafted feature that will be a highlight of this project.
